November happenings

New workshops in November!! Have you been curious about weaving? Rigid heddle looms are a great way to get your feet wet in the world of weaving. These little looms are inexpensive, very easy and quick to warp using the ‘direct warp’ method and take up very little space, yet they are far more versatile than most folks realize. I am excited to share my little fleet of Schacht 15” Cricket rigid heddle looms with you for a couple of workshops in November. These workshops are designed for people who have never woven before (or have very little experience with weaving or are new to RHLs).

If you just want to sit down and weave, check out my ‘Freeform Weaving Saori Style’ workshop. I’ll get your loom warped before you arrive, teach you to weave in just a few minutes and you’ll be weaving like a pro in no time! Sort of like a ‘paint night’ with fiber, you’ll create as you go enjoying freedom of expression and improvisation letting the rich colors and fibers in the studio inspire you.

If you prefer to really learn the ins and outs of the rigid heddle loom, join me for ‘Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving for Beginners’ - learn to use the direct warp method to warp a loom, then weave and, finally, learn to remove the weaving from the loom and finish it.
